The residual stress was measured successfully in one of the two samples using the contour method (Figure 7), thus proving the viability of the proposed method. The results are in accordance with the literature and the bevel geometry shown in Figure 4, where a larger number of weld beads were deposited at the top of the sample, where the corresponding area revealed high residual stress values.
