to quantitatively assess the predictions, Intersection over Union (IoU) was calculated between the ground truths and the predicted masks of all the tested images. IoU calculates the ratio of area of overlap and the area of union for the ground truth and predicted mask of a tested image (Figure 12). The IoU values for the defects have been presented in Table 2.
