Jesus / Structural Integrity Procedia 00 (2019) 000 – 000 5 Where, for mild steel ( ) is: ( ) = 1 − 1 − 0.4 ∙ , −1 ≤ ≤ 0 (9) ( ) = 1 − 1 − 0.6 ∙ , > 0 (10) Table 1 and Table 2 show the fatigue results of the double-side welded connection under constant loading conditions based on hot-spot and nominal stresses, respectively. Table 1 presents the results obtained with hotspot stress definition and Table 2 (different specimens) registers the results for the specimens tested without strain gauges, therefore evaluated with the nominal stress criterion.
