Based on deformation data, it was possible to confirm that several strain gauges sustained irreversible deformation after the experimental test. With knowledge of the manufacturing material and its mechanical properties, the stress curves with respect to time for each of the unidirectional strain gauges are generated and the stress may be estimated using Hooke's law. In the Fig. 8 two strain gauges are shown, one in each of the major girders and other two placed in the B-pillar. These were retained in the elastic regime.
