4. Conclusions On the example of the selected welded detail (T-welded joint), the effect of processing the weld toe using the HFMI method was demonstrated. The results also show that the fatigue life depends on the materials. A suitable combination of basic and additional material can significantly increase the service life (Kepka 2021). The combination of S460MC (+ G46 4 M21 4Si1) with the usage of HFMI pushed the value of the so-called fatigue limit to somewhere around ∆ ℎ − = 250 MPa , while the detail corresponds to the FAT 100 class (value in 2 ∙ 10 6 cyles, 97.7% certainty of survivor, = 0.5 ).
