In Fig. 3a, It is seen that the sizes of the E R 309L grains are smaller than the

sizes of the AISI 304 grains. Fig. 3b shows the diffusion of the elements of chromium,

nickel, iron, and manganesebetweenthe 1 7 M n 4and E R 309L. While iron diffused

from 1 7 M n 4to E R309L, chromiumand nickel diffused fromE R309Lto l7Mn4.
