The fracture mechanical properties of the investigated EN-GJS-400-18LT, which are of
importance in order to classify the detected overload effects, were determined in
constant amplitude tests. The threshold value 'Kth under constant amplitude loading
with a stress ratio of R = 0.5 and the critical stress intensity factor KIq for crack
initiation were found to be 'Kth = 6.0 M P a ¥ Pand KIq = 03D¥P.
